How Long Can Cheese Be Left Out of the Fridge?
How long can cheese stay out of the fridge without going bad?
My partner and I received some cheese from a family fellow member for Xmas. Unfortunately it was delivered to the wrong address. We got the box today, nevertheless we don't retrieve it has been refrigerated since Wed. Is it still OK to eat?
Edit - it did come west/ a cold pack, still information technology wasn't cold today when we got information technology. We are thinking it may have been room temp betwixt 24 & 72 hours tops.

It is probably fine depending on the what type of cheese it was and what temperatures it was exposed to.
Many cheeses are fine without refrigeration for quite a while (cheese predates refrigeration by quite a margin). Many of the storage requirements and legislation placed on cheese are general "dairy" requirements--cheese is more hardy than the constabulary gives it credit for. The cheese may have sweat a bit or information technology may have started to ripen quickly but I would exist shocked if information technology posed a health hazard.

I really don't remember anything happened to them. Room temperature is fine for a little while, equally long as the cheese is not too soft/too ripe. The worst that could happen is surface mold, which you lot can just scrape off.
